INTRODUCTION

The Department of Periodontology and Implantology at Khyber College of Dentistry is dedicated to the study, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal diseases, along with the surgical placement and maintenance of dental implants. The department plays an integral role in clinical education by training both undergraduate and postgraduate students in evidence-based periodontal and implant therapies.

OUR SERVICES

Non-Surgical Periodontal Procedures

Includes professional scaling and root planing, subgingival debridement, and periodontal maintenance therapy for the management of gingivitis and periodontitis. Patients are also provided with customized oral hygiene instructions, education on plaque control techniques, and supportive periodontal care to ensure long-term disease control and prevention.

Periodontal Surgical Procedures

Offers a wide array of surgical interventions, including flap surgeries, osseous resective procedures, guided tissue regeneration, crown lengthening, and mucogingival surgeries. Advanced soft tissue procedures such as free gingival grafts and connective tissue grafts are also performed to address gingival recession, enhance soft tissue aesthetics, and improve periodontal health.

Dental Implants

Provides comprehensive implant services, including surgical placement of implants for single, multiple, and full arch restorations. Specialized services include implant-retained overdentures, full-mouth implant rehabilitations, and implant site preparation procedures such as ridge augmentation and internal sinus lift surgeries to optimize outcomes in complex cases.
